We are excited to develop new partnerships. We work with not-for-profits, school districts, governments and other organizations to support educators, parents, grandparents, and care-givers in providing quality early childhood learning in our province and beyond. Our partners work with us to contribute support to families in need. Their ideas, volunteer power, in-kind support and more are helping build stronger communities.

CONIFEX LAUNCHES PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Our name is a combination of the words “Conifer” and “Excellence”, and excellence is just what we strive to achieve — in our fibre, our products, our partners, and most importantly in our greatest resource, the people who work for us. Established in 2008, our objective is to build a premier, next-generation forest company that is a world leader in responsibly maximizing fiber value.

Conifex has been involved in many initiatives to support families and their communities. We believe that when you invest in resources to support young children and parents, the returns and benefits are significant often leading to better academic success, higher earnings and better health.

In conjunction with the Play, Learn, Grow Together foundation, Conifex has launched a partnership agreement with the Mackenzie Public Library in the City of Mackenzie, BC, which aims to intensify early childhood development for youth at home. A project document will be used to guide the collaboration and electronic youth tablets will be provided to support learning in effort to enhance foundational skills for children ranging in age three to eight years old.

The goal is to create a lasting youth development initiative to foster early childhood learning for youth in the community in support of future job growth and economical sustainability in the community of Mackenzie, BC.

The Mackenzie Public Library is an inclusive community gathering place that inspires lifelong learning, creativity, and personal discovery.

The Library provides access to the Play Learn Grow Together blogs by loaning out children’s tablets to families that link to the Play Learn Grow Together website, along with children’s books that correlate to the monthly blogs. The monthly collection of books, and the tablets for this initiative, were generously donated by Conifex.

Kidsbooks is proud to be a partner with Mackenzie Public Library and Play Learn Grow Together, by providing the books that are featured in the Play Learn Grow Together monthly blog.

Our mission is to empower immigrant and refugee women and children to fully participate in Canadian life through neighbourhood-based, accessible and inclusive programs.

PIRS staff are sharing the ideas and activities from the monthly Playlearngrowtogether.com mini-blogs with families in the home. Key concepts and some activities are also incorporated into their Early Childhood Programs. Staff are encouraged to use the Resources section on the website for Professional Development opportunities.
